If you have already developed a good understanding of basic plumbing skills and knowledge, and are now looking for a qualification that will teach you more complex technical skills and move you a big step closer to a career in the plumbing industry, then this is the course for you.
The Level 3 Technical Diploma in Plumbing (City & Guilds) is taught via a combination of practical hands-on sessions, to teach you complex skills and advanced techniques, and classroom-based lessons where you will learn the fundamental principles and technical theory of the industry.
You will receive practical training in a number of essential areas, such as complex cold-water systems, domestic hot water systems, sanitation and drainage systems, and central heating systems including boilers and controls. Not only will you gain hands-on experience of working on these systems, but you’ll also learn how to plan and install them for a variety of domestic and commercial set-ups.
As well as developing your advanced practical skills, you will also learn about environmental technology systems, the principles of domestic gas installations, and the all-important health and safety requirements in building services engineering.

What do you need to apply?
5 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at grade C or 4 or above (including English and Maths) or Relevant Level 2 vocational qualification in Plumbing, Building Services, or Construction-based subject

You will be assessed by a combination of observations, practical and technical assessments, course work, portfolio work, and online exams.
