Term starts week commencing 09 September

When you enrolled you will have been given the details of your First Day; date and time.
Please do arrive promptly so that we can get you to where you need to be ready for your first session with your teacher and classmates.

You'll arrive at your Campus, either Clapham, Nine Elms or Brixton depending on where you are studying your course, where you will be welcomed by our friendly team, including principals, teaching staff and members of our professional services.
Everyone will be on-hand to help you find where you need to go.

Timetables

Before your first day you should have already received your timetable by email (do check your spam), but don't worry if you can't find it as we can help you on the day to make sure you know where you are going and to get all the information you need.

If you haven't got your timetable please ask a member of staff to direct you to reception where we can help you with your timetable queries.

Induction Days

Once you start college you will have an induction. This is to help familiarise you with the college and to welcome you officially to the South Bank Colleges family. Your teacher or Learning Development Coach (LDC) will give you all the details and will help you to attend induction sessions, talks and tours.

We know that college may seem like a vast place compared to your school or place of work, so to help get your bearings, why not take a look at our virtual campus tours. You can see where classes will be held as well as other college facilities that you might like to use. Virtual Tour (southbankcolleges.ac.uk)

Student passwords

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

From September 2023 In order to access Microsoft Office, Teams, One Drive and College Webmail outside of the college all students will need to set up multi-factor authentication on their accounts. Many online services, such as banking, email, and social media, contain personal and sensitive data already expect this.

MFA significantly strengthens the security of user accounts by requiring multiple factors for authentication and offers protection against password-related attacks. Please note that when setting up MFA the password needs to be at least 12 digits one number, one capital letter, one lower case one non alphanumerical.

The easiest place to reset your password is inside the college by logging on to any computer and pressing alt control delete then selecting the password change option, though this can be done outside the college as well.
