Counselling

Subject Banner

Many people find it helpful, comforting, and empowering to seek the support of a counsellor at some point in their lives. They may be experiencing relationship difficulties, suffering from bereavement, looking to improve their mental well-being, or simply wanting to make a positive change to their lifestyle.

Our range of counselling courses will help you to develop the understanding, knowledge and skills you need in order to provide support to these individuals, and help them talk about their feelings.

Our fully-trained and experienced team of expert tutors will teach you how to build relationships with your clients in a safe, professional, and confidential manner and make a positive difference to their lives. We employ a clearly-defined progression route with our course offerings, from Level 2 through to Level 4, which can provide a direct pathway to Higher Education and, ultimately, becoming a qualified counsellor.

All of our counselling courses are fully-accredited by the CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body), a UK-based awarding body that is managed by professional counsellors, trainers and supervisors. The CPCAB are the only awarding body in Europe to specialise in the field of counselling.

As part of your course, at the right time for you and as an integrated element of your learning, you will have the opportunity to complete one or more of the following qualifications:

Level 1 Award in Interpersonal Skills

Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness

Level 1 Award in Digital Skills

These are FREE to you.

We know the importance of adding knowledge and competencies to your CV to make you stand out from the crowd. Following extensive conversations with local employers we know that qualifications such as these are highly-prized, and showing that you have honed additional skills will certainly set you on the right path to the career you have always wanted.
