Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment. Some courses have additional course specific entry criteria and/or require the completion of a specialist pre-entry test; these are shown on the relevant course information page on the college website. In addition to the criteria below, some courses require relevant occupational experience.

Apprenticeship LevelEntry Criteria
Level 4/5 - Higher
  • Level 3 qualification(s) (equivalent of two A Levels), or Advanced Apprenticeship, and GCSE English and maths at grade A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent e.g. Functional Skills level 2), and be working a minimum of 30 hours a week, and job role is consistent with apprenticeship framework or standard
Level 3 - Advanced
  • 4 GCSE qualifications at grade A*-C or 9-4, or equivalent level 2 vocational qualification, or Intermediate Apprenticeship, and be working a minimum of 30 hours a week, and job role is consistent with apprenticeship framework or standard
Level 2 - Intermediate
  • 3 GCSE qualifications at or above grade D or 3, or equivalent level 1 vocational qualification, or traineeship, and be working a minimum of 30 hours a week, and job role is consistent with apprenticeship framework or standard
