The Level 3 Technical Diploma in in Electrical Installations is an advanced, technical course designed to develop your in-depth knowledge and understanding of the electrical aspects of the construction industry, while teaching you essential technical skills that will enable you to work toward becoming a highly skilled electrician, pursue a career in the electrotechnical/building services sector and progress to Higher Education in a related construction specialism.

What experience and skills will you gain?

This course will provide you with a detailed technical grounding in electrical installation and you will study a mix of mandatory and optional units that could include:

  • Health, safety, and environmental considerations
  • Organising and overseeing, terminating and connecting, inspection, testing, and commissioning
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification, electrical scientific principles, BS 7671
  • Electrical design
  • Electrical maintenance

  • What do you need to apply?

    You will be expected to have at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English, Maths (or their equivalent).

    You're required to have achieved a Level 2 Electrical Qualification.

  • How will you be assessed?

    To gain this qualification, candidates must successfully achieve the following assessments: Theory and practical assessments, Synoptic Assessment, externally marked exam
