Hospitality and Catering students went on a trip to Italy! The trip was planned to enrich their knowledge and cultural experience through the heart of Italy's culinary wonders.

The trip began with a visit to the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa, where the students explored the rich history surrounding it. Students then went to try pizza at a famous pizza restaurant in Florence called Pistoria, the students learned about the art of pizza-making and the importance of using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Later, the students' taste buds were tantalised as they visited a chocolate factory, where they witnessed the magic of turning cocoa into chocolates, the students enjoyed a delightful chocolate tasting session. Later on, a visit to the breathtaking Sistina Chapel in Rome left them awe-inspired by its beauty. 

The trip then took a savoury turn as the students explored the Balsamic Vinegar Factory. Here, they learned about the process of aging and crafting vinegar. Then to end their trip, students went on a guided food walk exploring the bustling streets and local markets where they sampled authentic Italian delicacies. The walk not only satisfied their taste buds but also allowed them to interact with locals and gain insights into Italian food culture.

Overall, students had a fantastic time exploring the streets of Italy and indugling into Italian cuisine and learning about the rich history and culture Italy has to offer.
