Evgenia, our Curriculum Manager for Health & Wellbeing gives a review about her former student that progressed to LSBU Adult Nursing from Level 1 Health and Social Care.

Shakena Mills joined Lambeth College for 4 years, from level 1 Health & Social Care all the way to level 3 Health & Social Care.

She had to deal with and overcome a number of personal issues. Despite this, she persevered, never gave up and worked hard, resulting in her achieving her BTEC L3 with high grades.

She is now in her first year of adult nursing at our partner university, LSBU. She has given us positive feedback on her progress, revealing how much she is enjoying her placement at King's College Hospital and all that she is learning.

She is very grateful to all her teachers for the support she received, including the academic skills that she was taught whilst on the L3, which she says have now prepared her well for her university studies.

We are very proud of her and we are very confident that she will succeed in her studies and in her future career as a nurse.
