The T Level in Health is for those who want to help others, have a naturally caring nature and have an interest in working within the health sector. With a mix of classroom based learning and hands-on assessments, both at college and in the workplace, students who study this course will be well-prepared for either higher education or stepping straight into employment

We are blazing a trail for ambitious students through this prestigious new qualification. Designed with great input from employers, the content is up-to-date, relevant, engaging, and can lead straight into a career. Turn your love of IT into an exciting career with this digital T Level in IT support services. Equivalent to three A levels, this course will prepare you for a variety of support roles within the digital sector. During the course, you will spend 80% of your time at college and 20% on placements gaining first-hand experience. You will learn transferable skills in IT and computing to show universities and employers your passion, knowledge, and confidence in the subject.

  Our three Digital T Level courses share the same first year units and then you specialise in the second year. The purpose of the Level 3 Technical qualification in Digital is to ensure that students have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into highly skilled employment, an Apprenticeship or higher-level study.

  • You’ll spend 9 weeks minimum, working with an employer on an industry placement
  • You will learn using modern equipment
  • You’ll learn in our purpose-built spaces, including our new Emerging Technologies Centre
  • You will be involved in plenty of real-life practical work

This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in digital infrastructure and support. Career options can include becoming an infrastructure technician or a role in IT support.

  • How digital technologies impact business and market environment
  • The ethical and moral implications of digital technology
  • Using data in software design
  • Using digital technologies to analyse and solve problems
  • Digital environments, including physical, virtual and cloud environments
  • Legal and regulatory obligations relating to digital technologies
  • The privacy and confidentiality of personal data
  • The technical, physical and human aspects of internet security
  • Planning digital projects
  • Testing software, hardware and data
  • Digital tools for project management and collaboration

In addition to the core content, each student must choose one of the following specialisms:

  • Digital infrastructure
  • Network cabling
  • Unified communications
  • Digital support

  • What do you need to apply?

    Five GCSEs at grades 4-9 (to include English and maths GCSE at 4-9) We will consider applicants with one GCSE in either English or Maths, depending on their GCSE profile.

    OR

    Relevant level 2 qualification at merit grade or higher (to include English and maths at level 2 or higher)

  • How will you be assessed?

    Assessment is through two exams, employer set project, industry placement and an occupational specialism project.

  • Where can this course take you?

    After successfully completing this course you also benefit from the chance to progress to London South Bank University (LSBU). This gives you a path to graduating at a level 4 or a degree, without the costs of moving away.
