Designed with great input from employers, the content is up-to-date, relevant, engaging, and can lead straight into a career. Equivalent to three A Levels, this T Level in Digital Business Services will give you the skills, knowledge and experience to progress into a variety of careers within the Business and IT sector
Students can also use this T Level to progress to a related higher-level apprenticeship or course of study at a higher level. Our three Digital T Levels share the same first year units and then you specialise in the second year. The purpose of the Level 3 Technical qualification in Digital is to ensure that students have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into highly skilled employment, an Apprenticeship or higher-level study.
During the course, you will develop the core knowledge and skills needed for entry into a range of digital occupations by looking at data and digital systems, how software and business interact, the security, testing, planning and legal issues.
- You'll spend 9 weeks minimum working with an employer on an industry placement
- You will learn using modern equipment
- You’ll learn in our purpose-built spaces, including new technologies
What experience and skills will you gain?
This 2-year programme is designed for students who have an interest in IT solutions or data analysis within a business setting. It is equivalent to three A Levels and provides a route into employment, an apprenticeship, or higher education. Core units:
- How digital technologies impact business and market environment
- The ethical and moral implications of digital technology
- Using data in software design
- Using digital technologies to analyse and solve problems
- Digital environments, including physical, virtual and cloud environments
- Legal and regulatory obligations relating to digital technologies
- The privacy and confidentiality of personal data
- The technical, physical and human aspects of internet security
- Planning digital projects
- Testing software, hardware and data
- Digital tools for project management and collaboration

What do you need to apply?
Five GCSEs at grades 4-9 (ideally include English and maths GCSE at 4-9) We will consider applicants with one GCSE in either English or Maths, depending on their GCSE profile

Relevant level 2 qualification at merit grade or higher (to include English and maths at level 2 or higher)

How will you be assessed?
You'll be assessed through 2 exams, employer set project industry placement and an occupational specialism project.

Where can this course take you?
After successfully completing this course, you also benefit from the chance to progress to LSBU. This gives you a path to graduating at level 4 or a degree without the costs of moving away.
