Is this the course for you?

If you're aged 19 or over and are looking to improve your maths skills in order to progress to further study; find your perfect job; advance in your current career; or just be more confident in your use of maths in your daily life; then our Functional Skills Maths courses could be exactly what you need.

These courses are designed to give you the knowledge and skills to operate more confidently, effectively and independently in education, work and everyday life. You'll develop your maths skills in the Four Rules of Number (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), and gain a good understanding of interpreting graphs, managing money and finding averages. You'll also learn about fractions and percentages, converting metric measurements, and calculating area, perimeter and volume.

There are six different levels of study, and you'll have an initial assessment to make sure you start learning at the level that's right for you. The levels we offer are:

  • Adult Entry 1 Edexcel Functional Skills Maths
  • Adult Entry 2 Edexcel Functional Skills Maths
  • Adult Entry 3 Edexcel Functional Skills Maths
  • Adult Level 1 Edexcel Functional Skills Maths
  • Adult Level 2 Edexcel Functional Skills Maths

After successfully passing your course, you can use your improved mathematical skills to help you to advance on to further study, find work, or just be more confident in your everyday use of maths.

With multiple start dates - and both day and evening classes available - these part-time courses are perfectly suited to those of you with existing work, home, or study commitments.
