Is this the course for you?

The Level 1 Award in Interpersonal Skills will introduce you to the interpersonal (person-to-person) skills you’ll need in all work, learning, and personal situations. It’ll give you an understanding of a range of interpersonal and people skills, show you how they’re used, and explain how these skills can help you to work effectively with others.

This course will help raise your awareness of how interpersonal skills can enhance relationships, show you the difference between verbal and non-verbal communication, and explain the ethical use of interpersonal skills. By the end of the course, you should have increased confidence and self-awareness, and know when and how to apply your skills in everyday life; which will help your personal and professional development.

Verbal and non-verbal skills you’ll cover include listening, observing, appropriate questioning, giving information, respecting others’ opinions and views, summarising, boundaries, eye contact, positive body language, gestures and facial expressions, and ending the interaction.

This qualification is a great choice for those of you who want to pursue a career in counselling, health and social care, travel, sport, or education; but is equally suited to anyone - in any industry and in any walk of life – who wants to develop their interpersonal and communication skills.
