A sports science student through the units we deliver develops their maths, English, presentation skills, scientific knowledge, teamwork and leadership and can apply these attribute to a range of industries such as business, media, education, finance and health.
Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment. For some of the programmes we offer you will require: 5 GCSE qualifications at grade A*- C or 9 - 4 including English and /or maths, or equivalent level 2 vocational qualification at merit or above (or pass if equivalent level 2 vocational qualification if pass or fail only).

Following the successful completion of this course you are ready for a career in the sports industry as a coach through the BTEC programme and 1st4 Sport qualifications. There is also the option to progress to university should you want to continue your studies. You will gain significant experience of sport leadership through the college sports programmes and will be mentored on your career in sports coaching. We also have a number of links, with learners take advantage of to start employment as sports leaders and coaches.
