Enrolling on Lambeth College's Sport and Sport Science Course, is your key to success in the sports industry. Units you will study include Anatomy and Physiology, fitness testing and training and performance analysis. All the work is assignment based and will develop your practical and theoretical skills. Methods of assessment include practical demonstrations, presentations, video documentaries and written assignments. Investing your future in a sports qualification is a significant step forward for your future.

A sports science student through the units we deliver develops their maths, English, presentation skills, scientific knowledge, teamwork and leadership and can apply these attribute to a range of industries such as business, media, education, finance and health.

Entry Criteria

Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment. For some of the programmes we offer you will require: 2 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at grade D-G or 3-1, or entry level vocational qualification, English and Maths initial assessment.

Other requirements: Our L1 programme does not have specific entry requirements and we are always interested in students who are looking to get into industry and build their qualifications. Experience in sport and a passion for subject are the most important attributes. Please enquire for more information.

Career Opportunities

After completing your Level 1 programme you will be ready to fully consider your career path in the sports industry, and progress to our Level 2 programme. At this point you will be considering whether your pathway is in starting in work or heading to university. During your Level 1 sports course, should you meet our career ready standards you will be introduced and encouraged to explore and take part in a number of our work experience opportunities.

    Assessment Method

    Lambeth College presents a unique opportunity when it comes to your assignment and coursework. Our tutors are nationally recognised for the support and encouragement we provide our learners. We are with you every step of the way, and use innovative methods of assessment from instagram feeds, and video presentations to practical challenges. You will also hand in reports linked to your courses and develop your presentation skills. You will not be taking exams or be placed in pressurised situations. We are here to develop you as an industry professional and academic.
