This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in health or other science related jobs. It will provide a strong grounding in biology, chemistry, maths and physics with an emphasis on IT, study and research skills as well as employability.
There are units of study in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and forensic science. The majority of your lessons will take place in science laboratories where you will be able to learn practical skills in all three main areas of science. You will be using real equipment to carry out experiments and learn how to analyse your results.
You will be assessed based on your course work and tests. For those who still have to achieve their GCSE or functional skills level 2 maths, there will be an opportunity for you to study English and Maths alongside the science course. There will also be opportunities to gain work experience or an apprenticeship.
Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment.
