The Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding in a wide range of valuable IT skills. From using technology to increase productivity, to understanding software, through to learning how to stay safe online, this course will give you the tools you need to be a confident and competent computer user.
With instruction in how to use presentation and spreadsheet software, format emails, and use word processing programmes, you'll be able to easily demonstrate your new-found skills to your present or future employers.
This is an online course taught over 5-10 weeks, meaning you can choose when and where you study, so it offers you the flexibility to fit your studies around your existing work, training, or home-life commitments, whilst achieving agreed deadlines set by you and your tutor.
What modules will you do?
You will study five fascinating topics:
- Unit 1: Using IT to increase productivity
- Unit 2: IT software fundamentals
- Unit 3: IT security for users
- Unit 4: Presentation software
- Unit 5: Spreadsheet software
What do you need to apply?
4 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at grade D or 3 or above, or Level 1 vocational qualification, or Level 1 qualification in English.
Additional Information: If you do not hold a suitable Level 1 qualification, or cannot provide evidence of one, you may still be able to enrol on this course following an initial assessment to test your level of literacy in English.

This course is to be completed fully online, via online learning, tests and assessments.
