This qualification aims to help learners understand their role in supporting the preferences and needs of individuals in relation to their care or support, the development and implementation of care plans, and how to review care plans by observing and monitoring the care activities your employee is responsible for. This qualification is the perfect platform to then look to study higher level nursing qualifications.
This course is split into the following manageable units:
Understanding person-centred thinking and planning
Care planning for the care worker
Understanding nutrition and hydration in health and social care
Principles of supporting an individual to maintain personal hygiene
Understanding continence care
Principles of supporting sleep
Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment.
For some of the programmes we offer you will require:
5 GCSE qualifications at grade A* - C or 9 - 4 including English and /or maths, or equivalent level 2 vocational qualification at merit or above (or pass if equivalent level 2 vocational qualification if pass or fail only).
