In 2017, over 176,000 safeguarding alerts were reported to councils with Adult Social Services responsibilities. One third of these cases involved physical abuse and neglect, making this the most common cause of safeguarding alerts.

  • Principles of dignity in adult health and social care practices

  • Understanding duty of care in adult health and social care

  • Understanding dilemmas and public concerns in adult health and social care. Studying via distance learning over approximately a 10-12 week period.

This means you can choose when and where you study. This qualification is ideal for anyone who is currently working, or looking to work, in the adult health and social care sector. People should enrol on this course if they wish to learn how to identify safeguarding issues, and uphold excellent standards of care provision for vulnerable adults.
