Is this the course for you?

With approximately 15% of people being affected by Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), it is important to develop our understanding of what SpLDs are, and how they can affect the lives of those impacted by them. From dyslexia and dyscalculia, to ADHD and DCD, there are many types of SpLD and some people are affected by more than one.

This nationally-recognised qualification will help you to identify ways of supporting individuals with dyslexia and other Specific Learning Difficulties in any environment, be it at home, in the workplace, or in an educational setting.

Whether you are looking to take your first steps towards a rewarding career in a teaching or support-based role, would like to develop specialist skills for your current educational position, or would simply like to better understand SpLDs for personal reasons, this course can give you the knowledge and confidence to achieve your goals.

This is an online course taught over 5-10 weeks, meaning you can choose when and where you study. It offers you the flexibility to fit your studies around your existing work, training, or home-life commitments, whilst achieving agreed deadlines set by you and your tutor.
