Is this the course for you?

This course is designed to give you the basic barbering skills needed to cut and style men's hair. It will also teach you hairdressing techniques, and develop your knowledge of what it's like to work in a professional salon.

Long gone are the days when men were only interested in a short back and sides. Men's hairdressing is now a hugely popular and profitable area of the hair industry. So, whether you're just starting out in hairdressing, or already have some knowledge and basic skills in the industry, the Level 2 Certificate in Barbering could be the perfect course to kickstart your career and put you on the path to becoming a fully-qualified barber.

You will be shown the complete barbering process; from providing consultation services to clients, right through to cutting hair, trimming beards, and recommending products. You will also learn about hair treatments and techniques such as shampooing and conditioning, and styling men's hair. This course will also give you an insight into what life in the hair industry is really like, while teaching you transferrable skills such as health and safety, customer service, and salon reception duties.

The Level 2 Certificate in Barbering covers the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world of work within the hair industry as a junior barber.

This is a part-time evening course so it can be fitted in around your existing work, study, or family commitments.
