Description

This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career as hairdresser. You will develop skills in Working in the hair-related industries:
Health and Safety,
Promote additional services or products to clients,
Provide hairdressing consultation services,
Cut hair using basic techniques,
Colour hair using a variety of techniques,
Style and dress hair,
Perm hair,
Shampoo and condition hair,
Create a image based on a theme,
Working with colleagues within beauty-related industries.

Entry Criteria

Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment.
For some of the programmes we offer you will require:
4 GCSE qualifications at or above grade D or 3, or equivalent level 1 vocational qualification.
Other requirements:
Level 1 qualification in Hair and beauty,
A keen interest developing skills in a beauty related industry and commitment.

Career Opportunities

Employment as junior assistant or Junior stylist. Progression to a level 3 qualification.
