These courses are designed for people who speak English as a second language. Learners will to improve their skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Learners can study at 5 different levels. Our Entry level courses also embed maths as part of the programme.

All ESOL learners will need to complete an assessment in grammar, reading, writing and speaking and listening to be placed on the right level. If you already have certificates in ESOL, please bring these to your assessment.
ESOL courses provide essential communication skills which are needed in every area of work.
Awarding body, assessment method and more
Learners who complete ESOL courses may progress to a higher level of ESOL or into a vocational programme in their chosen career. We advise that learners need to be ESOL Level 1 to move onto a specific subject vocational qualification.
Learners will gain qualifications in ESOL. Assessment is through examination or portfolio.
