The Level 3 90-credit Diploma in Engineering is an advanced technical qualification that can take you a huge-step closer to your goal of becoming a fully-qualified engineer. On this course you will develop your in-depth knowledge of the principles, practices, and theory that are essential to the engineering industry, whilst also increasing your practical and technical skills.
Through a mix of compulsory and optional modules, you can concentrate your study on either mechanical, or electrical and electronic principles and applications, whilst also gaining a thorough understanding of health and safety, correct working practices, and the industry-standards that your future career requires.
This course will cover engineering areas as varied as mathematics for engineering technicians, engineering design and drawing, electrical technology, communications in the engineering industry, properties of engineering materials, CAD, thermodynamics and hydraulics, and much more besides.
What modules will you do?
You will study a mix of compulsory and optional modules in a variety of topics.
What do you need to apply?
5 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at grade C or 4 or above or equivalent Level 2 vocational qualification at merit/pass or above.
How will you be assessed?
You will be assessed by a combination of practical assessments, coursework, project work, and examinations.
