The Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma for the Early Years Workforce will prepare you to work with babies and young children from birth to 7 years old, and teach you specialised knowledge of the early years setting of 0-5 years. This course promotes teaching and learning to make sure that children have the social, developmental, educational, and cognitive skills they need to fulfil their potential.
Your studies will be focussed upon four main categories that apply to early years education: Health and well-being; Legislation, frameworks and professional practice; Play, development and learning for school readiness; and Professional development. Through a combination of academic study and practical work placement you will develop an in-depth understanding of a wide variety of topics that apply to early years settings.
You will develop knowledge, skills, and understanding in areas that could include supporting healthy lifestyles for children through food, nutrition, and exercise; promoting children's emotional well-being; supporting children's learning and development through play; developing young learners' mathematical and literacy skills; health and safety; equality, diversity, and inclusivity; supporting children with additional needs; and promoting personal, social, and emotional development.
This qualification content meets the Department for Education's (DfE) Level 3 full criteria for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner in the workforce.

What do you need to apply?
- 4 GCSE qualifications at grades A*-C or 9-4, including English Language
- Level 2 vocational qualification and a Level 2 English qualification
