This course is designed for Level 3 Early Years Practitioners who wish to develop their practice and become advanced practitioners. The advanced practitioner will use crucial leadership skills to mentor others across all roles and
responsibilities in the early years workforce. The course covers a range of early years topics at Level 4, including enabling children to learn, working with families and other professionals and implementing change, as well as specialist areas such as physical activity and nutrition and special educational needs. Learners will acquire and use skills of leadership, mentoring, coaching and reflection as they complete the qualification through work-based learning opportunities.
Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment.
For some of the programmes we offer you will require:
Level 3 qualification(s) (equivalent of two A Levels) and GCSE English and maths at grade A*- C or 9 - 4 (or equivalent e.g. Functional Skills level 2),

SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) - for staff who are undertaking the responsibility of SENCO in the setting,
PANCO role (Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordinator),
Internal progression at higher level including those with management responsibilities,

Awarding body, assessment method and more
Level 5 qualification such as the Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services
This qualification will prepare learners for study at a higher level, for example a Foundation Degree in Early Years
Although the qualification will not be eligible for UCAS points, it could provide evidence for a personal statement to enable students to enter Higher Education.
