The Level 2 Award and Diploma in Performing & Production Arts provides a full-time introduction to performance and production that gives students a broad diagnostic experience and develops an understanding of Performing Arts as a collaborative activity. Learners will be taught how to use their body, voice and elements of design/technology to engage with, entertain and inform audiences. Learners will gain skills in the use of voice and vocal manipulation, dance & movement, text and dialogue, mask design and use, design for performance (including sets, costumes and lights) and technical management. Learners will also gain valuable insight into the expectations of the professional world of performance.
Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment.
For some of the programmes we offer you will require:
4 GCSE qualifications at or above grade D or 3, or equivalent level 1 vocational qualification.
Successful completion of at least 2-4 GCSEs at C or better,
Ideally have Maths and English achieved at entry level or, preferably, L1,
Review of portfolio, ideally showing some attempts with moderate success in the subject area.
