The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design provides learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to higher education or into employment. Learners will advance their abilities to capture and express ideas and forms through fine art and digital practices, focussing on originality of idea, conceptual thinking and outcomes and impact of art on the audience. Learners will gravitate towards a pathway of choice (for instance painting, drawing or graphic design) and pursue skills specific to that pathway whilst studying; they will additionally gain understanding of abstract imagery, alternative fine art and digital processes and the critical impact of art in contemporary society.
