The Basic skills Diploma is Criterion based and consists of 12 units comprising of knowledge and practical assessment. Each unit has a credit value; you must achieve 37 credits to attain the Diploma. This affectively means that to pass this course you will have to prove competence both in theory and practice in each of the twelve units detailed below. Each unit will have a practical and theory test to be taken when you are confident of passing. You cannot fail these tests, if you do not achieve the set criteria, the test will be rescheduled for a time in which you can achieve.
Our minimum entry criteria may be altered at any stage up to and including enrolment. All offers are subject to a successful interview and completion of an initial and diagnostic assessment.
For some of the programmes we offer you will require:
2 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at grade D-G or 3-1, or entry level vocational qualification,
English and Maths initial assessment.
