If you want a career as a domestic or industrial plumber, heating engineer, drainage specialist, or maintenance engineer, or if you have ambitions of one day being self-employed with your own business, then the Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing Studies is a fantastic place to start.
This course will provide you with hands-on practical training in a number of essential skills and techniques, and introduce you to a variety of methods and materials, as well as developing your technical knowledge of plumbing.
You will be taught to use a variety of hand tools and equipment, learn about different joints and plumbing systems, and how to work with both copper and plastic piping. As well as increasing your practical skills in plumbing operations, you will also develop your knowledge of electrical and scientific principles for plumbing and service engineering, giving you a great platform to start your career, or progress to further training.

- Health and Safety in building service engineering
- Electrical principles and processes for building service engineering
- Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
- Common and basic plumbing operations
- Above ground drainage
- Copper pipework
- Plastic pipework

Entry Level 3 English qualification
Additional Information: You will have an initial assessment in English and maths

You will be assessed by a combination of practical assessments, course work, and online exams.
