london city royals basketball academy

There has never been a better time to consider a course in sport at Lambeth College due to our fantastic facilities at Clapham Centre and Lambeth College. Along with the London City Royals, the academy will set many new players on their way to success both on and off the court, by giving them the support, confidence and skills needed to reach their maximum potential.

Daniel James, the Royals new Associate Head Coach, will be leading the academy by working hands-on with the development of these talented young basketball players. A coach with five NBA clients and plenty of experience from training youth to the best players in the game, Daniel is an exceptionally qualified coach for the job. Having played for England, as well as earning a full scholarship to an NCAA Division 1 university in the USA, he is undoubtedly one of the best skills development coaches in the UK. See more about Daniel on his website here www.danieljamesbasketball.com or follow on Instagram @danieljamesbasketball.

Royals Basketball Academies are coached by professional British players playing for London City Royals, many of whom came from grassroots basketball programs similar to the Royals Basketball Academies, showing first-hand what could be achieved and serving as the perfect mentors to help the new players of the academies achieve in similar ways.

We are very excited about this academy as it sits in the heart of our community in South London, teeming with people of all backgrounds. Basketball can offer focus, motivation and direction for many of these young adults, and as a subject, teaches vital skills for success in life. Our dedicated team will support them and develop their skills so they have every chance of successful careers in professional basketball and beyond.

First trials for Lambeth College will be at Bradfield Youth Club on Wednesday 4th September at 1 pm so if you’re a baller keen on finding out more, get down with your trainers on Wednesday!*
