Travel and Tourism students reach for the skies with British Airways A group of Lambeth College's Travel and Tourism students were treated to a day out at the British Airways HQ in July. The (number) students and two staff, all of whom are on the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel & Tourism, visited the large Waterside complex to learn about the importance of customer service and communications.
The day's visit inluded a tour of the Waterside buildings in Harmondsworth, seeing the Royal Book signed each time a senior Royal personage flies, and a role-play session where students dressed up as British Airways cabin crew and were taught various duties.
L2 Programme Leader Alicia Wilkinson explained: ‘The was an amazing opportunity for the learner to develop their career ready standards, I am very proud of the learners, and the target is to get our learners into organisations like BA. ‘ The Travel and Tourism courses involve many fact-finding trips to businesses and holiday destinations - a few months ago saw a Travel and Tourism group visiting Morocco.
