I'm enrolled on the L3 UAL (University of the Arts London) Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts and GCSE Maths. I decided to continue the second and final year of Performing Arts, where I can learn more drama skills and make showreels and music videos. Not only that, I also want to improve my Maths. Resitting the coursework gives me an opportunity to get a good grade.

What do you like most about Lambeth College?

The theatre trips. Every month, the performing art tutors arrange a trip for the students to different theatres like The Young Vic, The Old Vic, Lyric Hammersmith, National Theatre and Omnibus Theatre. I get to watch the shows and write reviews on social media.

What is most enjoyable about your course?

The lessons where I can record my performance and reflect on my work. I also enjoy going to theatre trips, because it gives me a good chance to watch theatre shows at different theatres.

When you finish your course, what are you hoping to do next?

I plan to apply to drama schools, where I can secure a place for a foundation acting course. After that I hope to take one step closer to start a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. Not only that, I also have to seek this opportunity, if I'm lucky, to be selected by the audience and agencies to have me featured in different roles in films and TV shows.

Tell us about a memorable experience you had at the College.

Earning a Career Ready certificate where I managed to maintain a 100% attendance in my 1st year and in 2019, when I participated in college meetings as a course representative. I had the opportunity to make changes for the students, but also in the college as well.

How has Lambeth College helped you?

Lambeth College helped me a lot with Additional Learning Support for my EHC (Education and Health Care Plan), seeking job opportunities and bursary funding to get equipment and clothing for the Performing Arts coursework.

Any words of advice to students thinking about joining your course?

My advice to the current and upcoming students is to have the strength, knowledge and will power. Never give up on the things you can't do until you bring your ideas through and try your best to entertain the audience and achieve your true potential.

Thank you Bruno! We hope to see you on the big screens soon
