In celebration of  LGBT History Month, the Student Union have organised an LGBT Conference taking place the week commencing 22 February!

With the theme for LGBT+ History Month 2021 being 'Mind, Body, Spirit, the event will focus on the 'Mind' element in reference to the difficult circumstances we currently find ourselves in. It is difficult to remember a time when our mental health has faced the pressures that many are experiencing today.

We want to reach out to as many areas of the LGBT+ community to provide information and also have some speakers to talk about their own personal experiences within the LGBT+ Community, linking back to the theme of 'mind'.  The conference will be for 1hr 30mins and will be held online- via Teams.

We've invited guest speakers including successful poet Dean Atta and transgender speaker Isabella Segal to speak to a variety of students across the College.

LGBT+ History Month have provided brilliant resources on their page for educators, students and parents and they've also created a hub for upcoming events to celebrate the month. Please do check them out to be clued up!
