"Two years ago I began my Lambeth college journey, my course of choice was BTEC L3 Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I wanted to come out of my comfort zone, considering Engineering is a male-dominated field. In addition to this, I had a passion, a goal and I wanted to achieve things that I had never done before, such as being an engineering student at Lambeth college. I guess it worked out as I received my grades yesterday which were D*DD, I could not be prouder of myself!

Lambeth college has been a brilliant place to pursue my studies because I had an immense amount of support, opportunities, and resources as well as my teachers, who always went above and beyond for me to succeed.

One of the many opportunities presented to me, allowed me to take part in the career-ready programme, as I was studying a STEM subject. This was an amazing experience, I was able to gain work experience as an intern over the summer of 2019, in the Engineering field working with a company called 'Cundall.' The working environment was friendly and made my experience a lot less nerve-racking. My course had many perks, but the best part about it was the people and the practical. The practical was great because I was able to fully invest my time and focus my energy into my work, which I am deeply passionate about.

My engineering course was fairly straightforward because I had so many amazing people around me who made it so much easier, we were all very close, something I can only describe as being like a family. My next step is that I have decided to pursue my career as an engineer and I will be taking my education further into University to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering."
