Website Accessibility

Lambeth College has built its website to allow the same site content to be accessible regardless of disability, browser version and hardware. The site also adheres to strict quality control and accessibility standards making it functional, easy to use and appealing to all users.

Accessibility, Standards and Compliance

This website will:

  • Adhere to W3C AA Web Content Accessibility guidelines and comply with industry standards for accessibility via Cynthia and The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) for web accessibility.
  • Comply with UK Government website guidelines – E-Gif version 6.10

Text only version

A text only version of the website content is integrated into its standard build to comply with AA guidelines. Textual information is shown in a listed format, with the body copy coloured yellow and headings blue, on a black background which is colour blindness accessible.

Text size

Your preferred text size can be set using the text size tool at the head of each page. Should you need the text larger than what is set on this site then most browsers (Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, Internet Explorer (IE), Safari and Opera) have text resizing tools under their ‘View’ menus.

PDF files

Some of the information and downloadable forms and brochures on this site are available, as pdf files, either in ‘downloads’ advert boxes or attached to individual document libraries at the foot of some pages. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open these files. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free from the Adobe website.
