Lambeth College has been successful in winning a bid to deliver training for 250 stewards working at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
This high profile and prestigious contract was won despite fierce competition from other organisations; Lambeth College being one of only four providers in London delivering this training.
The stewards are responsible for ensuring spectators arrive at, and depart from each Olympic venue safely. They will be employed by LOCOG City Operations as ‘Last Mile’ team members, working along the pedestrian route between each competition venue and designated transport hubs such as London Underground and Overground stations.
The stewards, their team leaders and area leaders will undergo LOCOG training at Lambeth College and receive a recognised qualification plus a competitive salary.
If you are interested in becoming a 'Last Mile' steward or team leader, you have until 30 April 2012 to apply.
