High Flyer: Corinne begins her new job with Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Former Lambeth College student Corinne McCleary has landed herself a dream job working for the Virgin Atlantic Airways Technical Support Service at Gatwick Airport.
The former maths, physics and sociology student left us back in 2003 to study for a degree in Aerospace Engineering at Queen Mary’s University of London. She has since had jobs working for Easy Jet and more recently as an Administrator for Lambeth College’s Student Performance Department.
Corinne, 28 from Vauxhall, has always had a keen interest in the aerospace industry and has worked hard to get this position. She said: “Getting the qualifications and technical experience to fulfil a job as important as this takes time and effort. I’ve only been in the job for three weeks so far and I love it. In fact I never want to retire. When I started out at Lambeth College all those years ago I was unsure about what type of career I would be able to achieve. The tutors here helped me get a clearer perspective on what I could achieve and how to go about reaching my goals. Even during my time at university I continued to get support throughout my studies from my old tutors at Lambeth.”
Corinne is just one of a long line of students who have advanced their career opportunities after studying for a course at Lambeth College. Maybe we can do the same for you or someone you know?
