Lambeth College is Best in Show!
London’s biggest interactive skills and careers event, Skills London 2012 attracted nearly 30,000 young people, teachers, parents and employers from across London on the 23 and 24 November.
We were delighted to welcome schools from all over Lambeth and London onto our stand to have a go at hairstyling and stage and film make-up techniques. The make-up was so realistic our stand looked like an episode of Casualty!
Visitors were able to compete against each other to win a new iPad using their IT skills in a Space Invaders game which was specially designed to give the college valuable marketing information about the type of courses young people are looking for.
Lambeth College’s Radio students were also there to chat to visitors and capture interviews about what school leavers would do if they were ‘College Principal for the Day’ so thanks to everyone who took part in that .
And most exciting of all, visitors who flocked to our Plastering and Painting and Decorating stand to try out marbling, stencilling and plaster mould techniques voted this stand the best and Lambeth College won the ‘SKILLS LONDON 2012 BEST GET SKILLED HOST’ Award!
