The impressive Crystal Palace National Sports Centre was the setting for the 2009 Lambeth College games.
Baking in the glorious south London sunshine students and staff took part in a whole array of track and field events, five-a-side football and even an inflatable podium for budding gladiators.

Amongst the many challenges of the day were the long jump, 100m hurdles, 100m and 200m sprints, relay races and an inter-site 5-a-side football tournament.
For those who fancied something a little bit more off the 'beaten track' we had some inflatable podiums for the classic 'duel' using pugil sticks to knock down your opponent and a bizarre tug-o-war challenge with the handicap of being attached to bungee cord. Each contender would use all of their strength to reach the end of the tunnel without being pulled back to base by the cord.
Sports Instructor Rosemary Powell said: "We were blessed with great weather for this year's event and the efforts and sportsmanship of every participant combined with the atmosphere created by the crowd of spectators made it a day to remember."
