Lambeth College Performing Arts students and staff enjoy the evening with guests and dignitaries that included Levi Roots, Dame Lorna Boreland-Kelly and Derrick Anderson.
A range of enterprises were recognised at the Lambeth Business Awards gala ceremony held at the Shell Centre on 28 February.
People in Lambeth were able to nominate businesses for a range of categories including Best Green Business, Best Social Enterprise, Best Cultural and Creative Business.
The Best Young Entrepreneur category was sponsored by Lambeth College which has Centre of Vocational Excellence status for Enterprise. The winner was Lorraine Boothe who runs Zen Health and Wellbeing. The award was presented to Lorraine by Dame Lorna Boreland-Kelly, Chair of Governors at the college. Dame Lorna said: “I have been so inspired by the businesses here. Congratulations on your success.”
Students from the Lambeth College Performing Arts department delighted the audience with their rendition of ‘Seasons of Love’ from the musical ‘Rent’. The performers were Shirley Atouba, Michael Ramos and Justina Smith.
