After weeks of waiting, sixth form students at Lambeth College were celebrating today as they received their A and AS Level results.

Over 200 students sat more than 600 A and AS Levels at Lambeth this year. The College gained 100% pass rates for a wide range of A Level subjects including Business Studies, Accounting, Media Studies, English Literature and Economics. The average pass rate for all A Levels was over 90%.  Almost 40 students received A-grades, with three scoring straight As across three subjects.

The College’s Principal Richard Chambers said: “Lambeth students have done terrifically well this year. They are a credit to the College, to the community, and to London. I’m enormously proud of each and every one of them.”

These exam results aren’t the College’s only success. This year, Ofsted recognised Lambeth as being ‘outstanding’ in meeting the needs and interests of learners, as well as providing good teaching and learning, good development of skills for employment, and good guidance and support.

Welcoming Ofsted’s findings Dame Lorna Boreland-Kelly, Chair of the Governors, said: “Our inspection results show that Lambeth College provides high quality education and has the right staff and skills to help young people reach their full potential. What is particularly important to us is Ofsted’s finding that students feel so well cared for, supported and safe at the College. This report is a real vote of confidence.”
