"Such energy! They are really fantastic! I want to offer you two jobs" said Rory Simpson, Head of Drama at Pimlico School, referring to Lambeth College students Rochelle Anderson and Tyrone Yansen.
Rochelle and Tyrone are two of a 19-strong team of Performing Arts students at our Clapham Centre. They were chosen to lead a fact-finding and relationship building workshop with a group of 14 year old pupils from Pimlico School.
This workshop aimed to collect information and form views as part of a project exploring citizenship, civic engagement and democracy. They plan to use their findings in a series of performances, aimed at school audiences, which cover issues surounding the rights and responsibilities of individuals in our society.

Watched by their tutors Kathryn Culbert and Amie Lees, our students created focus groups and stimulating discussions with the school pupils in an engaging and thoroughly enjoyable series of workshops.
Kathryn said: "I was so pleased with how our students harnessed their energies into such a purposeful, exciting and positive project. They reached out and made creative contact with the kids with excellent focus".
