Make Your Next Stop Lambeth College
July 2006
The Passengers: Lorna, Max, Paula and Andre are the stars of our Summer advertising campaign.
Lambeth College is, for July and August, taking part in a new interactive media advertising service on London buses. Our new silent screen advert entitled ‘Make Your Next Stop Lambeth College’ shows four young people on the top deck of a bus talking about studying at Lambeth College.
The four actors are students from the Performing Arts courses at our Clapham Centre. They are Lorna Callaghan, Max Hastings-Herbert, Paula Libanio and Andre Lloyd.
Lambeth College’s Marketing Department came up with the original concept for the silent twenty second advert to be transmitted on screens inside buses on thirteen central London routes including the 137 which travels through Clapham and Streatham. In all there will be three hundred and forty buses showing the advert.
The pilot TV scheme has been running on various bus routes since May. This is an interactive system where viewers will be able to call or text a number on screen for further information on the College and its courses. The service has been independently assessed as reaching an average of six million viewers a month.
This is a joint project with Lambeth College Marketing and Motional Media Ltd.
Another former student, Ben Cooper, has for the second year running produced our radio adverts which are currently being played on Choice FM 107.1/96.9. Ben is an award winning student from our BTEC National Radio Award.
