The pouring rain and hailstones couldn’t dampen the high spirits of Lambeth College’s students in May as our Annual Sports Day got underway at Tooting Bec Athletics ground.  With the 2012 London Olympic games as inspiration the students rose to the challenge in a range of events that included long jump, 100m hurdles, 100m and 200m sprint, relay races, 5-a-side football, an egg and spoon race and even a welly throwing competition.  There was also an added attraction this year in the form of a bucking bronco.  Participants took it in turns to see who could spend the longest time in the saddle as the bull would buckaroo in all directions.

Over 70 students took part in the games and medals were awarded to the winners.

Lambeth College has teams in various different sports including football, basketball, netball, and cricket.
