The Wishing Tree

The Wishing Tree_1

The Wishing Tree mysteriously appeared one morning in our Clapham Centre Foyer.

March 2005

The Wishing Tree now holds hundreds of student wishes.  From wishing for world peace to winning next Saturday's National Lottery, the Wishing Tree holds many hopes.

The tree was planted by student Ian Constantine from the Horticulture Level 2 National Certificate course which is run at our Clapham Centre.  He was inspired by a Yoko Ono sculpture, with the same title, which appeared in an exhibition he visited a few years ago.  He thought it was a great idea and a real morale booster.  Starting with just three anonymous wishes pinned to its branches, the tree has now 'blossomed' just in time for spring.

Don't forget to make your wish!
