Multi-talented Sophie

Special commendation: Sophie Wray won special praise at the SkillCity 2005.

Sophie Wray has just completed the BTEC First Diploma in Multimedia and Photography at Lambeth College, achieving an overall distinction for her work.  She has also received a special commendation for her work at the ‘L7 Show-it’ exhibition that formed part of SkillCity 2005.  The exhibition showcased students' creative work.  Out of 90 entrants, Sophie won the commendation after receiving the Runner Up award in the Best Under 19 category for Multimedia. 

“My work was an interactive Flash movie based on interesting sites of London,” says Sophie, “and the judges said that it was particularly eye-catching and of a very good quality.”

Sophie will return to Lambeth College in September to progress to the BTEC National Diploma in Web Design and Animation.  “This course has taught me a lot in a short time.  The work is very varied and interesting and my teacher Rachel has been so patient and always helpful.  I’m now setting my sights on the challenges of the next course."
