Dionne becomes British Grand Champion

Dionne Konstantinious: The new Tang Soo Do British Grand Champion.
November 2005
Dionne Konstantinious, a Student Development Officer at Lambeth College, is the new Tang Soo Do* British Grand Champion. She achieved this after finishing in first place in three events at the British Championships in October.
The 17th British Championships were held on 22 October in Croydon. Dionne capitalised on her recent form and the success she had in last year’s event by winning the Female Black Belt Grand Champion award. This was achieved by finishing first in the three categories; free fighting, weapons and open hand forms. She and her team also achieved first place in two demonstration events.
Dionne said, ‘After many weeks of gruelling and lengthy training sessions my team and I came through and displayed our true potential. I am very proud of what we have all achieved.’
Next year Dionne will be travelling to the USA to compete in the World Championships and hopefully, return with further gold medals.
In the meantime Dionne continues with her job working closely with young people in the College. Her success can help to inspire others to achieve their own goals and reach their maximum potential.
