Lambeth College journalism student Kaveh Solhekol has had his writing talents recognised at The Times.

Kaveh, who is a student on the NCTJ post-graduate course, started his week’s work experience on one of the paper’s magazine supplements.  On the second day was asked to join the leader writers’ team. As part of this prestigious team he joined the editor’s  meeting to discuss what should be included in the next day’s comment column.  Kaveh was asked to write one of the three required editorials. His piece on things come to teams that wait was published on 29 October.

Kaveh’s success was swiftly followed by a paid assignment for The Times, reporting on the Arsenal Ladies football team’s victory to reach the European semi-final.
