Dame Lorna Boreland-Kelly, awarded for her lifetime's work in education and child protection.

Dame Lorna Boreland-Kelly, Chair of Governors at Lambeth College, was presented with an Award for ‘Excellence’ by the European Federation of Black Women Business Owners (EFBWBO) at their 2004 annual Gala Dinner in October.  This award was for her lifetime’s work in the spheres of education and child protection. 

The award was sponsored by HSBC and presented by John Rendell of HSBC and actor Rudolph Walker (who plays Patrick Trueman in Eastenders).

Dame Lorna said after the event: “I am delighted and honoured to have been given this prestigious award by the EFBWBO, which does such important work in encouraging and motivating black women to achieve success in every walk of life.”
