- Your tutors will be highly experienced teachers who have taught A Levels for a number of years
- You will have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities and visits. These may be:
- Subject related – for example, theatres, museums, subject conferences, Parliament, law courts
- Higher Education related. We have good links with many universities and opportunities for our students to:
- Attend Saturday School at the London School of Economics (LSE). This involves focused subject classes with experienced teachers and support and advice on how to apply to university, including the LSE
- Participate in a two-day visit to Cambridge University in the summer term. Students stay overnight in the university halls of residence, meet current undergraduates, talk with admissions tutors and get lots of tips on how to complete an excellent UCAS form
- Attend various one-day visits to other universities (for example, Oxford University, the University of Surrey and local London-based universities) to familiarise themselves with university life and learn about particular courses
- Work with student mentors from local universities such as Kings College on applying to university (eg UCAS supporting statements and advice on degree courses
- Your tutor will also work with you right from the start of the course to ensure that you are fully informed about choices and options in Higher Education and that you make the very best application to UCAS
- We also offer organised revision classes over holiday periods (half term and/or Easter depending on the subjects you study) with a focus on exam tips and how to boost final grades
- We have a full-time Sixth Form Centre mentor who can offer support and guidance to students. This service is a friendly, confidential way for students to discuss any personal or college-based issues that are causing them concern and may affect their potential success on their course.
