This course helps students to develop the skills and knowledge required for working within a variety of settings with young people including local authority or voluntary organisations.
Course content:
- Principles of Youth Work
- Current legislation
- Impact of theory on practice
- Supervision of Youth Work practice
- Health and Safety
- Safeguarding and communication
After this course: Progression to higher education or promotion.
Level 2 qualification or equivalent in the initial College assessment. Learners must be working in a relevant role in a paid or voluntary capacity and provide evidence of a Criminal Record Declaration on enrolment.
